VA BIRDers,
A late report from the regular Sunday Field Trip at Dyke Marsh, sponsored by
the Friends of Dyke Marsh and free to all.
Although a wonderful day weather-wise, a bit slow in the beginning saved only
by a small group of migrants plus a few others scattered up and down Haul Road.
Highlights were a half dozen Osprey, a Sharp-shinned Hawk, Warbling Vireo, a
few Red-eyed Vireos, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, about 15 Gray Catbirds, Nashville,
Northern Parula, several Yellows, Chestnut-sided, a couple of Magnolias,
Bay-breasted, American Redstart, Northern Waterthrush, and a couple of Common
Yellowthroats.
