went to Dyke Marsh early to look for warblers. did okay, but not great,
7 species, but including Wilson's. highlight of the day was a
Black-billed Cuckoo that flew out of the woods to pose high in the
foliage behind the [now buried] sand piles right at the dog-leg on Haul
Road. wonderful view in the morning light, did not vocalize, & had to
look twice to convince myself it really was a Black-billed. otherwise
looking like more breeders and fewer transient migrants.
