The Osprey have returned to their nest and have evicted the Herons that were
there. This will be the 4th year at the same nest.
The RS Hawks are busy establishing their nest and have selected a tree within
50 feet of the trail in the main part of Henricus Citie. We saw them mating
this morning. One or both have been in or around the nest for several days.
The three male Cavansbacks that have been here for several weeks appear to have
moved on. A pair of Pintails are still here.
Had a look at one of the Barred Owls today for the first time in a couple of
weeks. Still no idea where the nest tree might be but they are always in the
same area.
Lots of Robins, Bluebirds and Redwing Blackbirds...with the Osprey back can
spring be far behind?
