In brief there were no migrants, and very few birds made their presence
known on this cold windy morning for Renee Hudgins and me. A flock of Rusty
Blackbirds was again encountered, but no estimate of their numbers was
possible. A non vocal Barred Owl flew across Jericho Ditch Lane as we left. A
few Gray Catbirds were mewing and 15 Wood Ducks were flushed from Jericho
Ditch. A total of 17 species was recorded.
My next walk will be Thursday, March 10 along Washington Ditch beginning at
8 am. Join me if you wish.
