Birders,
This morning at 0900, Rosemarie and I saw two Dickcissels on Rt. 649
(Grasty Rd), Orange County. Rt. 649 is a 2.18 mile road between US 522
and Rt. 629 (Lehore Rd).
First bird was seen and heard on the east side of the road about .25
mile from Rt. 629 on top of three (grown together) trees in the field.
Second bird was singing on hay rolls at Montvue Lane.
Also: Bob Whites, Blue Grosbeaks, Grasshopper Sparrows, E.
Meadowlarks, etc.
Cliff Swallows were seen at Rt. 522 bridge at Orange/Spotsylvania
County line.
Happy birding,
George Harris
Orange County
