At 8:59 a.m. a young (brown) Peregrine Falcon passed west over
18th Street through (it was lower than the building tops) Crystal City,
passing less than 50 yards south of the above-ground entrance to the
Crystal City Metro Station just before crossing Rt. 1. I watched it
pass from a 2nd floor window of a building along 18th St. between Bell
Street and Crystal Drive. It seemed odd that the usually ubiquitous
Pigeons in this area were nowhere to be seen at that moment.
