Jerry Uhlman and I birded here this am - things were pretty quiet - eg., not
a single Shorebird other than Killdeer, no Terns or Laughing gulls, and no
raptors - but, of 32 species seen : the Eurasian Wigeon continues in it's
customary (?) spot - the NW corner- each Osprey platform had 2 Ospreys
sitting on them - 2 huge rafts of 100's of Ruddy ducks- a pair of Pintails- a
Red-throated Loon at the north end- and good numbers of horned grebes in
various plumages - oh, and one great Egret.
