[va-bird] Craney Island access?

Va-Birders,
 

I'll be heading to the Tidewater area next weekend to bird the Dismal Swamp
and other local hotspots.  One place I'd like to go but have little
information on is Craney Island.  Am curious to know any rules of thumb
regarding this place including weekend access, layout, etc.the web seems a
bit lacking in this regard.
