This morning at Craney Island there was, I think, a White Rumped
Sandpiper. It was with a large flock of Semipalmated & Least Sndpipers & was
noticably
larger. It had a light stripe over the eye & the wings extended past the tail.
It looks like the pictures in several bird guides. Is this likely?
There were several Black-bellied Plovers & Ruddy Turnstones in breeding
plumage. They sure look different than what I see in the winter. A
Yellow-breasted Chat was the first of the year.
