I applaud you! What a marvelous accomplishment! You are a true
inspiration to a new generation of birders. As for the help Ned
provided, I agree with John Little; as the Aussie's say, good on ya Ned!
You both (Todd and Ned) represent what is best in birding. I'm, proud
to have meet both of you!!!!!

I want to congratulate Todd Day on his final success! Quite the deal!

Any new state record is noteworthy, but the one Todd has reached for
during this past year is truly astounding. After Ned Brinkley's
Virginia Year-Total of 345 in 1996, no one else had attempted to top
that record. Now, it's been done.
What I truly enjoyed through this whole ordeal is the fact that Ned was
the one who, not only challenged Todd to break his own
record, but helped him many times along the way. Of course now, Ned has
a new record to break!
I hope Todd can finally now, take a rest!
