A COMMON MOORHEN was flush yesterday at Smith's Pond in Swoope, Augusta
County. Other birds of interest in the Swoope area were Bobolinks,
Grasshopper sparrows, and several recently fledged Belted Kingfishers.
Other recent sightings include CLIFF SWALLOWS at Augusta Forestry
Center, Swoope, and the 250 bridge over the middle river; VESPER
SPARROWS on Three Springs Road (650); HORNED LARK at the Augusta
Forestry Center.
