Hello all
This morning 12 members from the Augusta & C' ville bird clubs managed the cold
& icy roads to bird in the Stuarts Draft & Lyndhurst areas . A total of 41
species were found . Brenda & Tom I hope you all managed the slick & icy roads
better than I did . I was heading back to see if the Horned Larks came in a
little closer to the road on Rt. 652 . We never made it Pat & I got side
ditched head first into a deep ditch on Rt 639 just past Target . We were
heading down hill when my light rear end truck started to slide on the very
slick ice . Some people stopped & I locked into 4x4 & was pushed out . The
frozen icicles were still in tact on the front bumper once out . No one was
hurt . What can I say -- it is just ME ! Birds missed were Lapland Longspur ,
Snow Bunting & Barn Owl .Now for the birds seen today . ** special birds found
today .
