From 2:30-3:00 the Clark's Grebe was at the end of the
boardwalk at the Officer's Club at Ft. Story (far west
end of the Fort property). I wouldn't have known about
this spot without the help of Kathy
[forgive-me-I'm-probably-mis-spelling-your name]
Houmis. After I saw it there, I drove west again to
the First Landing S.P. Campground , and the bird was
coming into view, barely visible to the east, and
probably drifting from east to west. Great start to to
2004!
