As several people pointed out, I undoubtedly heard a King Rail, not a
Clapper. Once I found a match using Thayer's, and finding that it did not
compare to their call for the King, I neglected to check further. A quick
look at my Sibley's would have shown that the two have a very similar set
of calls.
