[va-bird] Charlottesville - Observatory Hill, April 25

6:20 - 9:00am, April 25th

First real good day of migration.  I was surprised to see so many birders....in my 5 years at Charlottesville, ever year I see more people birding...guess that's a good sign.

Hiked around Observatory Hill, next to the UVA campus.  They were doing some construction near the telescope, and they had cut down some good 'warbler trees' from last year, but still had lots of migrating warblers.  Heard Baltimore Oriole, saw Scarlet Tanager, Red-Eyed Vireo, Blue-Headed Vireo.  10 warbler species:  Nashville (H), Northern Parula, Chestnut-sided, Yellow-Rumped, Black and White, Black-Throated Blue (H), Black-throated Green, Palm, Worm-eating, Redstart (did not hear/see ovenbird!)?.
