Why doing my weelky survey of the Hike-Bike Trail at Huntley Meadows, I
encountered a pair of Yellow-breasted Chats at the Main Meadow at Huntley
Meadows. There is a new path that has been mowed to the bluebird boxes. The
birds were to the right of the path as it doglegs to the right into the
adjacent meadow. One bird appeared to be carrying either a cicada or nesting
material. If so, this would be the first confirmation of breeding chats at
Huntley in at least 8 years.
