Apologies for cross-posting.
In October 2000, a petition was filed asking the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service to list the Cerulean Warbler as threatened and to identify critical
habitat for the species. The USFWS has announced that the petition presented
enough information to support a finding that listing might be warranted, and
therefore, the USFWS is initiating a status review for this species.
The USFWS is seeking information and comments. The nature of the information
being sought is described in the notice below, under the section heading
"Public Information Solicited." The DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMMENTS AND
INFORMATION IS 21 JANUARY 2003. Comments and information should be sent to:
Field Supervisor,
Ecological Services Field Office
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
608 East Cherry Street, Room 200,
Columbia, MO 65201,
or by facsimile to (573) 876-1914.
