Visitors:
Susan Stanton of the Bird Club was up for the afternoon and helped us draw
a bead on and get a count on the kettle of 50.
Weather:
From clear to overcast by 11:15 EST, then partial clearing with sun again
beginning 14:45. Wind NNE-NE 0-5 mph, with a high of 70 degrees F.
Observations:
A little push from 11:30 - 12:30 EST, with two kettles of 66 and 55 BW,
then quiet during overcast, until a very distant kettle of 50 was spotted
at the limit of vision to the north at 15:50 EST.
RT Hummingbird (1), C. Nighthawk (2 at 16:28 EST), Blue Jays (129),
Monarchs (115), Dragonflies (19 - predominantly Saddlebags).

Candler Mountain is located on the southeast edge of Lynchburg, VA, in
Virginia's Inner Piedmont. It is on a minor ridge that parallels the Blue
Ridge Parkway, 16 miles to the NW. The bare knob offers a 360 degree view
