Hello all
This afternoon I lead Val Kitchens & her crew on a short bird walk on Bells
Lane in Staunton . We saw several species of waterfowl & the top of the list
for everyone was the six Cackling Geese . Waterfowl included Canada Geese with
Cackling , Gadwall , Mallard , Redhead , Ruddy , Coot, Pied -- Billed Grebe ,
Hooded Merganser , & Bufflehead . Also seen were several species of Sparrow ,
Hairy Woodpecker , & Red -- tailed Hawks . It was a very pleasant afternoon .
Happy Birding to all & good birding to Val & her crew in Highland County this
weekend .
