Birders,
Cliff Swallows are again nesting under the bridge on Rt. 522 at the
Orange - Spotsylvania line.
This morning, at a marshy area on Goldmine Road (Louisa County), we
observed a pair of Wood Ducks with 8 goslings, 6 Solitary Sandpipers,
Green Heron, Great-blue Heron and a Great-crested Flycatcher.
On Grasty Road (Rt. 649) Orange County, there were several GRASSHOPPER
SPARROWS and on Marquis Road, six WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS were seen.
Many were in full song.
In our yard, a FEMALE Ruby-throated Hummingbird showed up to join two
male RT-hummingbirds that have been around for a couple of weeks.
Does anyone out there in birdland have recent birding experience in
Poland? Please reply off listserve.
Happy birding,
George & Rosemarie Harris
