Hi All,
My son and I drove down to C.F. Phelps early this morning
in hopes of seeing a Summer Tanager. We birded down the path
from the second parking lot off of rt 632 (Rogers Ford rd, DeLorme
pg 69-C7). Didn't see a Tanager but he got two new lifers in a
Hooded Warbler and Yellow-throated Vireo. A lot of Yellow-breasted
Chats and Common Yellowthroats were present. We were toasted out
by 9:30am
Spieces seen:
Turkey Vulture 3
Red-bellied Woodpecker 1
Downy Woodpecker 1
Eastern Wood-Pewee 1
Acadian Flycatcher 3
Cedar Waxwing 3
Brown Thrasher 1
Eastern Bluebird 3
Wood Thrush 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1
Tufted Titmouse 1
American Crow 2
Yellow-throated Vireo 1
Prairie Warbler 2
Common Yellowthroat 6

Elsewhere in the county coming home we stopped along the roadside
and picked up 3 Grasshopper Sparrows a Northern Bobwhite and
( 2 Great Blue Herons, 29 Canada Geese and 1 female Wood Duck at
the large pond off of Belvoir Rd (rt 709)).
Happy 4th of July,
