[va-bird] CBBT gull images posted

The weather being frightful here, I took a day to scan and post some images
of gulls taken out at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel in recent months.

The most problematic/tentative of the set is a possible Vega Gull mentioned
on this listserv last month (images at
<http://www.sterling-inn.com/gullsp.html> and linked pages). That bird was
noted 23 December 2002. I've also posted poorer images of similar birds seen
here (mid-Jan 1995; still searching for better images taken of that bird) and
in Suffolk 5 January 2003.

Other images posted include presumed hybrid Herring x Glaucous Gull
(<http://www.sterling-inn.com/news.html>) and Mew Gull
(<http://www.sterling-inn.com/news.html> and additional linked page at
<http://www.sterling-inn.com/moremew.html> ). On my monitor, most of these
photographs look rather degraded when compared to the original color
transparencies; the Vega-type gull looks rather washed out, while the Mew
Gull looks too dark. These pages can be slow-loading, especially for those of
 us with dial-up service. Apologies!
