Hola Birders,
Yesterday on the CBBT I noticed a few signs of winter and thought I'd share.
Doing a casual observation from 3:30 to 5ish from the 3rd island yielded a few
fun birds:
7 Northern Gannets (3ad, 2 fourth, 1 third, 1 unknown)
several Black Scoters
many Surf Scoters
1 Greater Scaup (Female)
1 Northern Harrier
7 Turkey Vultures
No Purple Sandpiper
All were seen flying between the island 3 and 4 gap. Birds on the islands were
nothing of special note a Morning Dove was probably the best. Lots of
sparrows, juncos, kinglets and Yellow-rumps.
Good day and good birding
-Sam
