I went to Burke Lake this evening after work to look for the previously
reported Scoter. No luck with that. I did however see 6 Lesser Scaup, 3
each m and f; several Ruddy Ducks; a lone Pied-billed Grebe; also a
single Horned Grebe; good numbers of the ever gorgeous Wood Ducks; lots
of Swallows (Barn, Bank, Martin, Tree, and Rough-winged). Otherwise it
was very quiet, the usual suspects including two Ovenbirds, one of which
was practically foraging under my feet!
