I looked up from my work at 1 pm today and saw a large, disorganised kettle of
Broadwings moving across the Parkway at Slings Gap, heading towards Callaway.
It took about twenty minutes for all the hawks to move through, and I counted
341 in all. There were also 2 Kestrels and a Red-tailed Hawk (although I think
the Red-tailed was our local hawk).
There were also 3 more Palm Warblers in the yard this morning, and over 1000
Grackles feasting on the berries of the tupelo trees.
