My first outing since returning yesterday from Bhutan was rewarded with a low circling adult Broad-winged Hawk above my suburban house in Annandale, Fairfax County (outside the Capital Beltway). It reappeared a half-hour later, still circling but now high in the sky. Stephen Eccles
