On my way to Frederick Co., Md. this morning, I stopped by Fleetwood Dr.
in Nokesville and saw both male and female BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS mixed in
with a group of starlings. The birds were in their usual spot in the
pasture by the Asbury Church. There were HORNED LARKS in the pasture as
well. Next I went to Neabsco Creek where I saw an adult LESSER
BLACK-BACKED GULL among the more common gulls.
Then it was on to Maryland where I met Mike Boatwright and Mike Iwanik.
We searched in vain for the Northern Lapwing. As far as I know, the
bird was not seen by anyone today. Good birding.
