Today I heard a Bobwhite calling on a hill in Bonsack near the Blue Ridge
Parkway. It's the first one I have heard in Botetourt County since I
moved here 21 years ago. And the only time I have heard one on that hill
in the many years I have been visiting there. Also heard a Field Sparrow
singing.
