I grew up in north Arlington in a area of modest frame houses built in the
the 1910s. The
area had once been a cherry orchard. We regularly had Bob Whites walking
along the roadside
in the early 1950s. I guess they must have managed to breed somewhere in
the neighborhood.
It's nice to think they might return.
