Hello Fellow VA Birders -
Walking the property yesterday at George Washington's Ferry Farm in
Stafford County, I spotted my first BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER of the year.
Also, on Sunday (March 25), I birded Spotsylvania Battlefield where I
enjoyed watching a pair of foraging VESPER SPARROWS for about 20-25
minutes at very close range (20-30 feet!). They were observed on the
pathway leading to the Mott's (?) monument, just a short distance up
Anderson Drive from the Bloody Angle parking area. Look for the lone
tree next to the pathway.
Best,
Paul Nasca
