Birded this morning at Occuquan NWR in Prince Williams County. The
highlight was 1, possibly 2 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers on the trail along the
water.
Wednesday, Phil George and I birded at Mason Neck State Parked and found a
bird that we decided was a cross between a Wood Duck and Mallard. The bill
was that of a Wood Duck but the body was mostly Mallard with legs the color
of a Wood Duck. It was hanging out with about a half dozen Wood Ducks.
