My box successfully fledged 12 bluebirds last year and I was so excited
to see a pair back this year. It appeared that they completed their
nest, but then the house sparrows took over. I have removed the nest and
taped the hole shut for a day. I also put up another blue bird box about
5 feet away in hopes of reclaiming my family. Yesterday no sign of the
house sparrow pair and my bluebirds were back in the yard. I am keeping
my fingers crossed that the bluebirds will start a new nest and raise
their families here.

My bluebirds have completed (or at least it's up to the top of the box)
nest construction started more than a week ago. Unfortunately there
are house sparrows that keep checking it out when the bluebirds are
away - don't know if this will be a successful nest or not.
