The single bluebird nestling reported last week has fledged and I collected the
four unhatched eggs to see if they were indeed infertile. I broke each one and
yep- no embryonic development at all. Thanks to Barbara Chambers, Fred Atwood,
Roger Clapp, and others who responded to last week's message. Has any other
nestbox monitors experienced this phenomenon THIS YEAR? I know Roger told me
that one year he appeared to have a high number of infertile eggs.
