All,
In a nifty piece of birding Donald Sweig turned up a Black-billed
Cuckoo at Monticello this morning. This bird was seen by five other
birders. Other remarkable bird at Monticello this morning include:
Blue-headed Vireo (probably could use a new calendar)
Veery
Brown-backed Thrush, most likely a Gray-cheeked Thrush
Swainson's Thrush
Wood Thrush (CO-ON)
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Common Yellowthroat
Wilson's Warbler
Canada Warbler
Dark-eyed Junco (another bird in need of a new calendar)
Monticello park is located on Beverly Drive in Alexandria, VA.
