[va-bird] Black Vultures

Last week I had a fantastic look at a large flock (maybe 50 or more) of 
vultures at Great Falls Park . They were all coming in to roost on the rocks on 
the 
Maryland side of the falls.
It was spectacular to see them come in. I had never seen so many at once 
before.
I can understand the sentiments at the hospital - for many , the vulture is a 
"bad" symbol.
It's a shame, at the risk of sounding insensitive, they are innocent 
creatures that have nothing to do with what people project onto them. Like so 
many 
other wild creatures, they are being pushed into human areas due to the loss of 
their habitat.
