Hello all
Yesterday & today have been exciting around Augusta County . Yesterday in Mt .
Solon an American Bittern was found on the Mill Pond.Also yesterday we were
over at the Stuarts Draft Treatment Plant where we had 2 Ringed -- Billed
Gull's & about 50 to 60 + Cliff Swallow's . Now for today Pat & I did our usual
birding tour around Augusta County. Below is what was found.
Bells Lane
American Avocet -- 25 all near breeding plumage
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 2
Green-- winged Teal -- 4
Bufflehead --- 5
Ruddy Duck -- 2
McCunes
Osprey -- 2
Smith's
Wood Duck -- 3
Green -- winged Teal -- 4
Rt. 612 Verona
Caspian Tern -- 2
Rt. 610 Stuarts Draft
Green Heron -- 1
Mt . Solon Mill Pond
American Bittern -- 1
Green Heron -- 1
Not bad for a nice rainy day in Augusta County . Happy spring birding to all .
