Today I birded both Long Branch/Glencarly Park in Arlington and Monticello in
Alexandria. The migration is a tiny trickle thus far, but a few jewels are
about.
Best birds were at Glencarlyn: CAPE MAY WARBLER (1) and CANADA
WARBLER (1). Also in the park were one each of BT BLUE and BT GREEN
warblers, GREAT-CRESTED FLYCATCHER, and SCARLET TANAGER.
At Monticello the birds were sparse and included WORM-EATING WARBLER,
WOODTHRUSH, ;BT GREEN and BLUE WARBLERS, HERMIT THRUS:H
VEERY.
