Greetings to all:
Grace McCrowell of Chase City joined me today in some scouting of part of the
area that she will cover during the upcoming CBC of Banister River WMA on
December 26.
We did most of the birding from the side of the roads but we were able to find
the following:
Am Kestrel -1
Copper's Hawk -1
RT Hawk -3
RS Hawk - 1 heard
Great Blue Heron -1
Ring-necked Duck - 1 male
Black Vulture
Turkey Vulture
American Pipits -50 with some of them on the road
WT Sparrows - over 100
Juncos - over 100
Other usual birds were seen as well.
