VA Birders,
I slept late this morning, expecting that it would still be raining.
About 10:30 am, I decided to go to Fort C.F. Smith Park to see what birds might
be there, since it still wasn't raining. In about 3 hours, I tallied 40
species of birds, including 4 species of warblers: YELLOW-RUMPED (1-2),
BLACKPOLL
(2), CANADA (1), and a female COMMON YELLOWTHROAT.
At home, I still had the PINE SISKIN coming to my thistle feeder, and a
pair of BLACKPOLL WARBLERS.
Good birding,
Val Kitchens
