Twenty-two people showed up for this morning's bird walk at at the 900
acre Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship in northwestern
Loudoun County. With a temp. of only 18 the day started out pretty
slowly.
The highlights of the 34-species walk included a single SAVANNAH
SPARROW, several birds of prey, and lots of woodpeckers (no
Red-headed though). We concentrated on the weedy fields around the
Visitor Center and the Farmstead Loop with a short visit to Arnold
Road to wrap-up.
