[va-bird] Birds Observed at the Blue Ridge Center (Loudoun Co), August 26

Posted for Joe Coleman:

Fourteen people participated in the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy's bird walk at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship in northwestern Loudoun County this morning. Mary Ann Good, Gerry Hawkins, Laura Weidner, Ray Smith, & Elliot & Nancy Kirschbaum were among the several birders there so we had no problem having several healthy discussions over the many different flycatchers and occasional warbler we saw.

The highlights of the 56 bird species included a well-seen LEAST FLYCATCHER, a couple of TRAILL'S FLYCATCHERS, a couple of WHITE-EYED VIREOS, a couple YELLOW-THROATED VIREOS, a NASHVILLE WARBLER, a WORM-EATING WARBLER, 3 HOODED WARBLERS, two GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, AND 3 BOBOLINKS. We started the walk at the Market Garden and the Visitor Center and then took the Farmstead Loop.
