Hello all
With Isabel's aftermath by leaving plowed fields as well as some still having
crops on them flooded , I have found several with a small amount of shore birds
that were forced down by the rains & foggy conditions . Today I checked out
two areas one in the Stuarts Draft area near the Little Debbies Plant & the
other on the northern end of the County, Mt. Horeb. Here is a list of what I
saw this afternoon ( SD -- Stuarts Draft & MH -- Mt Horeb ) .
As John stated Quillen's Pond is now a Lake with what Isabel dumped on us .
This is the second time that I have seen the waters up but this is the first
for me to see how the hard surface road got washed out by leaving some ruts as
deep as 4 to 5 feet. I took some photos of this on Friday when the water was
running down the lane & going across the main road . The water was all the way
up to the trees lower branches & this is a good 8 to 10 foot or better from the
ground . On Friday , Sat. & Sun. no birds were around .
