[va-bird] Re: Birding by car at Occoquan (King Rail seen)

All,
The empty cars in the parking lot at Occoquan NWR this morning reported
by Steve Williams were my intrepid ornithology class. I foolishly
cancelled our field trip to Occoquan last weekend because I thought it
was going to rain. Surprise, it didn't rain last week but it did this
week when we were forced to make it up. Arg. Anyway, Steve had as many
birds as we did and we walked the whole loop! Highlights for the class
were a close up singing Prothonotary Warbler, heard King Rail, singing
Yellow Warblers, singing Orchard Oriole and for a few a singing
Yellow-breasted Chat. Complete list follows.
