Don Mauchline, Gene Keefe, and Mary Floyd led a group of 13 birders on the
Monday Morning Birdwalk at Huntley Meadows Park this morning, December 23,
2002. 36 Species including Gadwalls, American Black Ducks, and Hooded
Mergansers were seen on the very cold, but calm and sunny trip along the
boardwalk.
A special note should be made of Rob Hilton's observation of three Hooded
Larks on Sunday, December 15, at about 0900. This is a probable first
sighting of the Hooded Lark at Huntley Meadows.
