Hello all
This morning 7 members of the Augusta Bird Club & Mike Iwanik from C' ville
went on a bird drive in the Stuarts Draft area of Augusta County . The weather
was just perfect & the birds were very corporative . We chalked up 55 species
in about three & half hours . Best birds today were a single Snow Goose in with
a flock of Canada's . Green -- winged Teal , Ring -- necked Duck , Pied --
billed Grebe At Quillen's Pond . Barn Owl on Rt 637 & Northern Harrier , Of the
Woodpeckers the Red -- headed , in the 5 species of Sparrows Savannah & Swamp
being the best . We had Am. Pipits & Horned Lark on Rt. 652 & of the Blackbirds
the early date for a single Rusty Blackbird being the best . All in all a
perfect day to be out & about outdoors .
