VA Birders,
Last week-end (5/20/05) Members of the Buchanan County Bird Club made, what has
become their annual trip to Magee Marsh of the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
on the shores of lake Erie. There were lots of birds, and the weather was
great. The birds put on a show with Blackburnian Warblers, Chestnut-sided
Warblers, Am Redstarts, Bay-breasted Warblers, Yellow Warblers and Blackpolls
coming down to within nearly arm's length of the birders on the boardwalk that
winds its way for over a mile out into the marsh. The group had a total of 102
species for the trip with some members adding birds to their lifelists.
