[va-bird] Behaviors and Lists, and Munch Time

The value of Lori Markoff's eloquent commentary has multiple facets. I am not
alone in this view.

Her talent in bringing to those of us the picture of the entire habitat as the
species interact is
well recognized. I have learned so much over the years from Lori.

The illustration of both adult and youth birdwatching within the family setting
is encouraging as Fred Atwood introduces a wonderful Teen Bird Group into the
area, a great venture.

Knowledge about habitat and planting is shared with others. Lori encourages
learning. Novices are welcomed.

A neighborhood graced by the variety of birds (and very well documented), is
only enriched by
Lori's brilliant ability to call our attention to migratory season, the species
who may not have been
experienced here, and to keep records of her findings. All this done in a most
colorful way.

As I used to tell my students in medical assisting class or my nurses aids, be
thankful you are not married to
the complainer, for that is not a happy or secure person.

Lori illustrates the backbone of a wonderful group and her work is so admired.
If we did not have her reports
we would all be back to watching starlings and politicians licking bubblegum
off Pennsylvania Avenue.

Reading with pride and admiration,
