[va-bird] Beaverdam Park, Gloucester, 4/26

Observations from the southern (main) entrance to Beaverdam Park in
Gloucester this morning. The list below is not a complete tally of what was
around, just some notes.

First I spent about 30 minutes strolling along the Nature Trail. I found a
couple of species I had not seen in the park yet this year: WOOD THRUSH,
WORM-EATING WARBLER, HOODED WARBLER, SCARLET TANAGER, and GREAT CRESTED
FLYCATCHER.

Then I spent about 3 hrs on a boat around the lower and main portions of
the reservoir. The Horned Grebes appear to have left. In fact, the only
"good" waterfowl were 22 COOTS along the midsection of the reservoir and a
single RED-BREASTED MERGANSER.
