There is a breeding population (human assisted) in at the Reston Zoo, near Lake
Fairfax. They are considered escapes, and wander the area freely. Natives of
soith Asia. You can find many there on any given day.

Subject: [va-bird] Bar-Headed Goose at Riverbend
While spring birding this AM with friends from Oregon, we observed a
bar-headed goose in the river at Riverbend. We did not observe any bands. We
are wondering from whence it came.
