Greetings to all:
On Sunday morning August 24, 2003; I spent about 3 hours of birdwatching at the
Banister River WMA in Halifax Co.
Birds seen were as follows:
Great Blue Heron - 1
Yellow-crowned Night-heron - 1 adult
Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
Osprey - 1
Turkey Vultures - 5
Belted Kingfisher - 1
Wood Ducks - saw 1 and heard 4 more
Spotted Sandpiper - 1
Northern Parula - 1
Prothonotary Warbler - 3
Yellow-throated Warbler -1
Worm-eating Warbler - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 5
White-eyed Vireo - 1
White-breasted Nuthatch - 1
Brown-headed Nuthatch - 2 heard
Carolina Chickadee - 5
Tufted Titmouse - 5
Carolina Wren - 3
